ISDN Emulation
The Initia AccessSwitch™ is a high-capacity, high-performance, network acess and switching system providing scalable and highly available solutions for companies that develop, manufacture and support products for communications industry.
The AccessSwitch can be configured to perform many functions for companies that develop products such as modems, routers, general purpose switches and PBX's. The flexibility in the AccessSwitch hardware and software provides the most cost-effective solution for businesses by:
- accelerating developmental efforts
- improving test coverage for manufacturing
- providing simulated networks for training and demonstration
Each of these reduces the time to market and increases your company's return on investment
Some of the key attributes of the AccessSwitch are:
FULL ROUTING AND SWITCHING CAPABILITIES
Zero cost testing - no need to place calls from one carrier BRI/PRI to another. The AccessSwitch provides dynamic call routing and port-to-port switching. The switch provides multiprotocol tandem switching between multiple ISDN and robbed bit signaling protocols.
EXTENSIVE PROTOCOL SUPPORT
Highly flexible architecture that permits testing of terminal equipment to standard protocols in an emulated switched environment including upstream protocols as well as system clocking. This decreases developmental time by allowing engineering organizations to test EuroISDN products in the US, while European Engineering organizations can test North American protocols in Europe. To facilitate varying test environments, multiple network profiles can be created and stored by the management software for different configurations.
BUILT IN PROTOCOL ANALYSER
The protocol analyser is built in to the AccessSwitch management software which allows users to trace and capture call activity. This powerful tool helps users immediately monitor call setup (Q.931/Q.921), bandwidth and alarm conditions.
COMPREHENSIVE MANAGEMENT
The AccessSwitch may be configured in a centralized or distributed environment, either locally or remotely through the Accessware management console application. The Local Management Console and the Network Management Console applications are easy to use, PC-based Microsoft Windows applications. These applications provide a GUI based, intuitive interface to configure, reconfigure and store multiple profiles as well as monitoring all network operations. |
