Initia Inc AccessSwitch Integrated with York Telecom's C-CureWare™ Secure Network Solution for Videoconferencing
EATONTOWN, N.J. August 12, 2003 - Initia Inc., (privately held), the worldwide leader in WAN Access Solutions, today announced the approval of its AccessSwitch IMUX for integration with York Telecom's recently introduced C-CureWare™, a certified, secure network solution designed specifically for videoconferencing.
The Initia family of AccessSwitch products provides standards based video-networking solutions that solve information-sharing problems in a cost-effective manner. The Initia AccessSwitch product line is unique for applications requiring a true network solution to support multiple video endpoints and locations. As a result, Initia offers several secure video-networking solutions to support applications that span across remote locations, as well as a central location. As a single tool, the AccessSwitch can provide several ISDN high-speed access options, MCU functionality and support for seamless LAN/WAN communications to best serve secure video networking needs.
York Telecom's C-CureWare™ secure network solution integrates network termination equipment, The Initia IMUX, a secure/non-secure signal-switching module, optical isolation, and KIV/KG compliant devices. The secure solution is compatible with video codecs such as Polycom and Tandberg products, which contain a high-speed serial data port. Solutions are available for a range of encryption standards including KIV- 7 and KIV-19.
"The relationship between York Telecom and Initia has long been a successful one," said Jerry Dunn, General Manager of Initia Inc. "York Telecom has been integrating the AccessSwitch in both secure and non-secure environments for approximately ten years now. In addition to the standard benefits the AccessSwitch offers a traditional video deployment, York Telecom recognizes that the Initia product line is ideally suited to provide the critical interface required for a secure solution. We are proud of our history and partnership with York Telecom and look forward to continued success in this marketplace."
"C-CureWare is based on the same type of tested and proven secure networks we've designed for numerous Federal Agencies," said York Wang, CEO and Founder of York Telecom. "The expertise we've applied in these and other existing encrypted, dedicated and dial-up secure applications over the last two decades has allowed us to develop a solution we are confident will satisfy even the most demanding secure network demands. The Initia AccessSwitch is a perfect fit for this solution and was a key factor in C-CureWare's certification."
